Something for me....

I don't stamp for myself very often, but I needed a birthday calendar 'cause I kept forgetting friends & family's birthdays! I wanted to do something that could go on display in my home, but still be practical. Here is my creation.

Make a Wish

Ok, I know, it's been a while. I have been making cards, just not enough time for blogging now I'm a full time student! I really love these stamps and it was so much fun to colour, so wanted to share with you! Hope you like it.

Forever....

I know it's been forever since I posted on my blog. I went through a few health problems earlier in the year and found it really difficult to put any thought into stamping. I am slowly getting my stamping mojo back, thankfully!

My MIL requested a card for a friend's 70th, It had to be big enough for about 20 to sign. I knew a concertina book/card would be perfect, and this little bag that my good friend Teresa showed me how to make was the perfect 'envelope'.

One of those months?

Have you ever had one of those months, where there is more to do then hours in the day? Well I've just had two of those months! Andrew's foot surgery went well, however he has recently been back in hospital for a week for an unrelated condition. He is on the mend and hopefully will be back to 'normal' very soon!

So with two hospital visits, Christmas, away visiting family, etc etc, where is the time to stamp? School holidays, rellies visiting, gives little time for 'me'.

So Until I get back into stamping again, hopefully when school goes back in a few weeks, here is a little tin a made a while ago for a good friend. It was only about 5cm round! What a challenge :)

A month?

Has it really been a month since my last post? Wow, I guess holidaying in the south pacific will do that! We have just returned from 2 wonderful weeks away on the wonderful Pacific Dawn Cruise Liner. Tomorrow my 9 year old is having a minor operation down at Westmead Children's Hospital so I will be away from my stamps for another week! I have managed to get a few Christmas Cards made, but guess who forgot to take photos :) So sorry I haven't posted lately, and thanks for being patient. I will upload some photos really soon, I promise!

In Memory of Aussie Dave our Stampin' Up! Aussie Manager

As you probably already know I'm a Stampin' Up! fan, and have been for many years. When I heard that Stampin' Up was finally launching in Australia, I was exstatic and couldn't wait to sign up. When I first spoke to Dave on the phone prior to the launch he seemed such a nice and easy going guy. At a show a few weeks later, I got to meet him in person and he was just that. We had a coffee and a nice long chat about a few issues that had arisen, and he was very genuine and concerned for me. I felt like we had known each other for years. When Dave first fell ill, it was a big shock to us all, as he always seem to be upbeat, happy and healthy! When I saw him just after his first lot of treatment, it was like looking at a different person, but the same old Dave personality still shone through. Dave recently was defeated by his rare and terrible disease and he recently passed away. It was such a terrible loss to all who knew him.

Dave has a beautiful wife, Kathy who I have also met, and 3 gorgeous children. As a tribute to him, some of the Australian Demonstrators got together and each made a flower to form part of a 'Paper Bouquet' to be sent to Kathy.

We each wrote a small message on the back, and I couldn't help but shed a tear reading them as I put the bouquet together.

Thanks Dave, We'll miss you!

My Nesties have arrived!

Wow, Ellen over at Ellen Hutson is quick! I ordered my nestabilities set only about a week ago, and they arrived today! That's delivery half way accross the world! I am so impressed.

So here is my first use of the scallop Nestabilities.... My Grandma-in-law's front page of her mini album I am making for her. I hope I look this good at 90!
